The Georgetown Dive Team is comprised of divers from the Georgetown Fire Department and Georgetown Police Department. They are a true public safety team trained in rescue and recovery efforts.
Dive Team training includes:
• Basic and Advanced SCUBA
• Full Mask Certification
• Body Recovery Techniques
• Weapon Recovery Techniques
• Automobile Recovery Techniques
However, as our team expands and we gain additional equipment, we look for our team to be a regional response asset for Williamson County and the surrounding areas.
Since the inception of the dive team, in 2010, our team has grown to 16 members, a dive truck and a dive boat. The dive team is 100% operational and will be dispatched from Fire Station 5.
