 LICENSED INSPECTION NOTICE

Georgetown Fire Department requires a license inspection for adoptive homes, foster homes, child day cares and adult care facilities, with the exception of larger-scale adult care facilities. If you are a large adult care facility, please call 512-930-3473 to schedule your inspection(s).

WE HAVE MOVED TO AN ONLINE PERMITTING PROCESS ONLY! 

If you do not have access to a computer or need assistance with the online application, a kiosk is located in the Fire Administration Office at 3500 D.B. Wood Road specifically for this purpose.


INSTRUCTIONS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

The Licensed Inspection Permit application is a 3-step process.

  • Step 1: Apply for the licensed inspection permit online(You will need an email address – click HERE to learn how to set up a free account). An inspector will review your application within 24-48 hours.

  • Step 2: You will receive an email approving or denying your application. If approved, the email will contain a link for you to submit your credit card payment.

  • Step 3: Once payment is approved, you will receive a phone call from a Fire Department inspector within 1-2 business days to schedule your inspection.



    Please note: Inspections are scheduled on Tuesdays from 9-11am and 1:30-3:30pm and on Thursdays from 1:30-3:30pm. No inspections will be scheduled during City of Georgetown holidays.
