Burn Permits

Within the incorporated City Limits of Georgetown, burning of any material including trash, brush, and household waste is prohibited. Under certain circumstances, a citizen may apply for a burn permit if the following applies within the city limits.

1. The land is zoned for “Agriculture”

2. The land is at least 50 acres

3. The burn material is at least 300 feet from any roadway, property line, and structure.
